Build a Activated Window 8.1 with WMC install.wim

There is a lot of posts in various sites telling people how to install and activate windows 8.1 Pro+WMC, it needs the user to go thru a lot of procedures and phone activate, the first time he installs and everytime he re-installs, there is a cleaner and more simple method: make a install.wim that when installing, it activates by itself upon installation completion.

 

Needs you to have a activated win8WMC(with your own key), work on the win8.1 wim, the tokens.dat and data.dat are from the win8wmc:

dism /mount-image /imagefile:f:\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:e:\mount
Dism /Image:e:\mount /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:k:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
dism /image:E:\mount /set-edition:ProfessionalWMC
copy e:\tokens.dat e:\mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\2.0 /y
copy e:\data.dat e:\mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\2.0 /y
dism /image:E:\mount /set-productkey: (your WMC key)
dism /unmount-image /mountdir:e:\mount /commit

that's it, compile to ISO with the install.wim, install, and get a activated win8.1WMC.

 

 

 

You don't have the corrrect files? don't worry:

data.dat + tokens.dat : [Zawartość widoczna tylko dla zalogowanych użytkowników]

To-day's Sunday, so I did the steps with win8.1 Pro X86 to show :

1. Double click ISO to mount, drive is K:
2. Copy install.wim to C; right click -> properties , untick "read only" ; and also take ownership
3. Made a folder "mount" in E:
4. Have the files tokens.dat and data.dat in E:
5. Carry out the DISM commands, with the correct drive code, and the WMC key, you need to do it in 9600 to work on a 9600 wim.





6. When done, open the win8Pro X86 with UltraISO, replace install.wim with the modded wim,
and add file EI.cfg to sources

Save to new ISO "win8-1_WMC-X86".
7. I used VMWare to install, when asked for edition, choose "Windows 8.1 Pro"; no need to enter key
8. Done

Note:
- I used this WMC key in a previous machine, since WMC key bundles with machine, after installation it is not activated and requires a phone call.
- If you don't wish to fight with DISM, you can download the ISO from MEGA, after installation, enter your own key, if it couldn't be activated on-line, make a phone call.

Note: use WinRAR_5 to unrar, password : pcbeta-com

 

 

- On theory, if you installed with my ISO, you could make a phone activation, but then if another guy made a phone call, it might deactivate yours ......... not my problem.

2. Click vào I already have a product key.

3. Nhập vào Key Win 8 Pro WMC

4. Tick vào ô accept the license terms và click Add Features
